What is your favorite thing about NKU?
The women on this campus, both students and staff, have pushed me and empowered me to be a better woman every single day. The entirety of the female population on this campus just inspires me and encourages me to lead, educate, fight and follow.

Where is your favorite spot on campus? What makes that spot so special?
My favorite spot on campus is behind Callahan and Northern Terrace. I lived there my freshman year and there are a line of trees and in the middle there is a bench, and I have had many late night talks on that bench and during the evening I would set up hammocks with my best friends and I would just be able to breathe and relax and watch the sunset. It is a very calming and warming place and I don’t live over there anymore but sometimes I do make the trip over just to experience it again and again.

What is the first word that comes to mind when you think about NKU?
Home. I thought this would just be my school where I’d get my degree and move on, little did I know I’d find a community of people to support and love me unconditionally. I am so happy that I ended up here and that I found my home within these concrete walls.

What is your favorite way to spend your free time?
Honestly watching some TV shows, right now it’s "New Girl," and either do some mediocre doodling, embroider, make bracelets or knit the same scarf I have been trying to finish since November.

What is your greatest passion?
Being an activist. I find myself in many situations constantly raising awareness of a broad spectrum of issues, or being on the opposite end and listening and learning from anyone who will educate me in any issue. I myself am a queer woman, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a million different ways that I can also be an ally. Listen and learn from every person that has something to teach and enlighten me. I also might not know exactly how right now, but I plan to go into a career revolving around activism and hopefully leaving this world safer and just to every single person.

Tell us anything else about yourself and/or NKU that you want folks to know.
I am an actress, and I love what I do in my art form. The women in my life are the reason I strive to be better everyday including my Theta Phi Alpha sisters, my roommates and my mother of course. I am a barista at Biggby Coffee, and I can make you some incredible coffee, and I am incredibly proud to be a Norse!
