What are you up to now?
I am in my third year as the Physical Education Teacher at Garrison Elementary School. I am married to my high school sweetheart. We are parents to three fur babies, Runt is our three-year-old tabby cat, Daisy is our two-year-old basset hound and golden retriever mix and Libby is our 10 month old calico kitten. We are happily expecting our first child next summer!
How did NKU help you in your journey?
NKU was an amazing chapter of my life. While there, I learned a lot of life lessons. Getting involved on campus helped me to break out of my shy shell and be a more social person. The education classes and professors thoroughly readied me for my teaching career. I can still reach out to my former professors and advisors for help or advice and they will gladly be there. NKU is a place I will forever be grateful for!
What advice do you have for students?
Don't be afraid of something new. Join that club that looks interesting to you, take that random class just because you want to; you will never regret it.
