What are you up to now?

I am a healthcare executive and consultant with extensive leadership experience in hospital/health care environments and academic settings.  I am experienced in educational, clinical and non-clinical operations and business development, team building and culture development, physician services, customer relations, facility renovation and construction, regulatory and performance improvement. In addition, I believe in giving back through community involvement and support.

How did NKU help you on your journey?

NKU is a beloved institution where I had the good fortune to be a student, board member and part-time professor. I value the time I spent at NKU both intellectually and inspirationally. The professors at NKU were consistently available and created an environment for maximum growth.

What is some advice you would give to prospective/current students?

What motivates us or provides lasting influence is often a topic, a question, a word or a phrase that gets tucked away in our head or heart – something that speaks to us, inspires or confirms us.  A word and the underpinnings of a word that really made a difference for me in my life was resilience, a Latin Word that means – the ability to spring back, to recover, to be strong, to change directions, to focus on what you want to do, who you want to be, and where you want to go. I encourage the students at NKU to strengthen or adopt behaviors of resilience as I believe resilience is one of the keys to fulfilling your life’s personal and professional happiness, dreams and goals.
