Degrees: BA in Electronic Media and Broadcasting and BA in Communication Studies ('17)
What are you up to now?
I just started working as a Production Associate for the Golf Channel. I am part of the production team for Golf Central, the network's golf news programming.
How did NKU help you on your journey?
Northern Kentucky University was instrumental in my journey. I had incredible professors that taught me so much about the communications field and had numerous opportunities to get hands-on experience in every aspect of production. Furthermore, I had the chance to work for Brad Pope in Athletic Communications who taught me how to shoot sports and even let me host a show called Inside NKU Athletics. Being able to have the support of the College of Informatics and Athletic Communications really set me up to have success in the future.
What advice do you have for students or prospective students?
Take advantage of every opportunity presented to you. At NKU, you are getting a private school education at a public school cost, meaning you have the chance to make sure that you are a face, not a number. Use that power to get involved, get an internship, do research, something! Also, love your school and wear that black and gold with pride! There is nothing like being a part of Norse Nation and you should be incredibly proud of your school and your place in the NKU community!
