Subject: Student Counseling Fee: Update

Dear Campus Community,

As I begin my third week as a member of the Norse Nation, I have been amazed by the resilience of our students during these unprecedented times. The challenges facing college students today are some of the greatest in recent history, and it is our responsibility to assist them in having the best experience humanly possible by removing barriers whenever we have the means to do so. One such barrier is counseling fees, which will be suspended for the Spring 2021 semester, effective immediately.

Our counseling staff is available to help students navigate not only everyday stressors but also the increased uncertainty and anxiety caused by the isolation of the past several months along with the social injustice and political unrest pervasive in our society today. You can find more information about available services and times on the Counseling website: https://inside.nku.edu/studentaffairs/departments/counseling-services.html.

I look forward to a time when all students, faculty, and staff can return to campus and engage with each other in person. Until that time, take care of each other and yourselves.

Go Norse!

Eddie
