Subject: Support for Upcoming Judicial Decisions

Hello Norse Nation,

We are aware of upcoming national news related to judicial decisions regarding the Rittenhouse and Arbery cases. First, we want to let you know that your individual feelings about the news are valid. Second, how we respond as a community is indicative of our values. As we navigate this news, we know that you care for our community and what happens within it. In this spirit, we want to empower all of you to be vigilant in the next couple of days and weeks leading up to the conclusion of these cases. If you see something strange or unusual, report it. 

The Division of Student Affairs staff would like to make you aware of the following preparations:

  • Watch the Rock – We are adding more cameras to this location, and our resident students will be watching.
  • Police Actions: Increased patrols have been scheduled, and more staff will be on shift in the evenings and weekends.
