Subject: Resignation Announcement

Dear Campus Community,

Dr. Meyer has advised she will be resigning from Northern Kentucky University. You can read her message here:

“After serving as the inaugural director of the Office of LGBTQ Programs and Services for the last 8 1/2 years, I announce my resignation. Leading campus efforts around LGBTQA+ equity and inclusion has been an incredible opportunity and I am so proud of what we achieved together. Above all, it has been a joy to serve NKU’s student body, including all who passed through the Office’s door, organized to create positive representations of LGBTQA+ life across campus, and who ultimately helped us bring NKU where we are today, as a Five-Star, nationally recognized institution for LGBTQA+ inclusion.

I leave NKU with many fond memories and deep gratitude for all of the accomplices in this work over the years—students, faculty, staff, and alumni who made NKU a place where LGBTQA+ students can thrive. Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your inaugural director of the Office of LGBTQ Programs and Services. It has been my honor.”

We are working to address the vacancy created by her resignation as quickly as possible. In the meantime, if you need assistance, please contact Ms. Priscilla Ayala, Unit Director for the Center for Student Inclusiveness at ayalap1@nku.edu.

Please join me in wishing Bonnie well.

Sincerely,

Dr. Eddie J. Howard, Jr.
Vice President for Student Affairs
