Hello Norse Nation!

I am excited to announce that Dr. LaVette Burnette has accepted the position as our Director of LGBTQA+ Student Initiatives and will be joining us on campus beginning May 17^th.

Dr. Burnette received her doctorate from Georgia State University and comes to us with over 20 years of higher education experience, most recently from Gateway Community and Technical College. Her work has focused on building campus and community partnerships to support minority and LGBTQA+ students as well as training initiatives on implicit bias, pronouns, cultural competence and more.

Dr. Burnette is eager to begin working with our students and is looking forward to getting to know everyone.
