Subject: NKU and Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission Partnership
Dear Campus Community:
I am excited to announce a new university partnership that will expand the Help A Norse initiative when students present with needs beyond the University’s ability to assist. Cultivated by Dr. Neisha Wiley (Assistant Professor, Health & Human Services, School of Social Work), with the Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission (NKCAC), this will provide supportive and developmental services that can help students on their pathway toward an NKU credential. This agreement, supported by Drs. Gannon Tagher, Ryan Padgett, Bob Alston, and UCAP Director Peg Adams, provides eligible NKU students access to:
NKCAC staff will be on campus and available this semester to meet with students on the following dates:
We are grateful for this opportunity to better connect NKU students with NKCAC’s regional services in ways that provide consistent and responsive care for our students in addition to the coordinated care we provide our students on-campus. In order to refer a student and get them connected with NKCAC, please submit a report through the Help A Norse website (login with NKU credentials is required).
Sincerely,
Dr. Eddie Howard
