Hello Norse Nation,

After sending information regarding the NORSE U program, scheduled July 14-16, 2023, Greg Moore, Director of African American Student Initiatives, and I have been made aware of some concerns regarding our longstanding NKU R.O.C.K.S. Mentorship Program.

As you know our students come to the university with multiple identities, and the goal of NORSE U is to provide a broader network of support for students who may share a variety of identities. The Center for Student Inclusiveness and the Center for Student Engagement are working together on the planning and implementation of NORSE U.

Please be assured that the ROCKS program is not going anywhere. Our approach to engaging first year Black/African American students is being reimagined, but that will not change efforts in place to continue this amazing program.

To reassure everyone, we are currently in the process of recruiting ROCKS General and LEAD Mentors to prepare for our 2023-24 Cohort, as shown below.
