Hi Norse Nation,

As you know, there have been a number of staffing changes within the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. As a result of these staffing changes, the following restructures are being implemented. First, I have asked Ms. Cheryl Leménager to serve as a part-time administrative assistant for the division until a replacement for Jamie Field can be identified. For appointments and other issues, please email her at lemenagerc1@nku.edu

Within the Office of Financial Assistance, I am pleased to announce that Ms. Lynn Morgan, Interim Associate Director of Financial Assistance – Compliance and Processing, and Ms. LaNighta Reid, Interim Associate Director of Financial Assistance – Customer Service and Training, will serve as team leads for the office. LaNighta will focus on customer service workflow and policy improvements, whereas Lynn will be responsible for processing of awards, monitoring scholarship spending limits and criteria review. Ms. Trenee Johnson has been reassigned to back-of-house system processing for the Offices of Financial Assistance and Admissions. Each of these staff will report directly to AVP Leah Stewart.

Next, the Center for Student Engagement (CSE) will now be responsible for New Student Orientation led by Ms. Brittney Jackson. Brittney will handle all aspects of orientation, including oversight of the program and manage the logistics for orientation. This shift will ensure that our students are engaged at the beginning of their academic journey. Ms. Kate Goller will continue to serve as the immediate supervisor to our orientation leader team and work to assist students throughout the orientation process.

Finally, I have asked Mr. Jake Panek to serve as Acting Director of Admissions, who will be responsible for all yield activities, the NKU welcome center, processing of applications, and supervision of our recruitment team. Jake will be assisted by Kate Goller, who will handle logistic for large scale campus recruitment events (excluding Orientation), and logistical organization with campus partners (browsing fairs, departmental tours, etc.). Ms. Bailey Wood will handle logistics for larger group visits, and planning and coordination with academic partners for academic sessions. Please join me in congratulating these individuals in their new appointments.

Thanks for you continued support and Go Norse!

Best,

Dr. Howard
