What is Top Hat?

Top Hat is a platform for polling during class, hosting online activities and reading, and more. TopHat uses your phone, tablet, or computer to do more in class. Here are some ways your instructor might use Top Hat:

• Sync lecture slides to your smart device or computer so you can follow along in real-time.
• Poll your class for questions and share the results.
• Import free interactive questions from the Top Hat Marketplace.

Where do you go to use it?

Top Hat is a separate platform from Canvas. Sign in at the Top Hat website to use its features.

Account Registration

You will need a Top Hat account to use the service. Ask your instructor for the join code.

Register your Top Hat account as a student.

Pricing

The price is $24, $35, or $70 (semester, 1-year, 4-year).
