About Advancement Operations
Our department strives to advance the fundraising and engagement efforts that support our students and university. We conduct research to identify donors and align their interests with NKU. Prospect research manages portfolios and supports University Development. Advancement Operations also provides solicitation proposal development and writing services that communicate campaign and fundraising priorities. In addition, we offer human resource, gift agreement drafting and management, as well as strategic planning services for the division. Donor Relations is another area that our department supports. We seek to strengthen the relationship between significant donors and the university through engagement strategies that acknowledge and communicate the impact of donor contributions. These engagement strategies encourage lifelong philanthropic support to Northern Kentucky University.
The Office of Advancement Services works alongside Advancement Operations to provide technical, analytical and data entry support for the following areas: online donation and event registration, gift and biographical data entry, gift receipting, invoicing and acknowledgment, contact distribution lists, adherence to applicable laws, regulations and policies, and donor/alumni/fundraising reports and analysis.
