Community Connections provides event support services to other NKU departments sponsoring occasional or periodic public events.
Four tiers of event support are offered:
- Publication of event details on NKU Connections, the online calendar of NKU public programs, at no cost to the sponsoring department. Events also highlighted in the NKU Connections and Educators Edition newsletters at no cost to the sponsoring department. Submit events at nkuconnections.nku.edu
- Level 1 services plus registration processing, including online and phone registration, confirmations, cancellations, transfers and refunds, as well as preparation of event materials, invoicing, tracking of account balances due, and reporting of event performance on the basis of a minimal per registrant charge to the sponsoring department.
- Level 1 and 2 services plus measurement of promotional effectiveness and management of continuing education credit, housing reservations, meal tickets and products on the basis of a minimal per registrant charge to the sponsoring department.
Minimum service fee for Levels 2 and 3 applies.
- Level 1 services plus program co-sponsorship includes instructor recruitment and compensation and program preparation and start-up with sharing of net revenue.
Community Connections provides event support for a variety of NKU events, including the annual Evidence-Based School Counseling Conference sponsored by the School Counseling graduate program and the Center for Educator Excellence, and the ExploreMore! and Norse Think Tank academic enrichment programs sponsored by the Institute for Talent Development and Gifted Studies.
