Fostering a Commitment to Postsecondary Education

Community Connections offers three programs dedicated to fostering a commitment to attain a postsecondary education in the minds of elementary and middle school students and their parents. The younger the child is when exposed to college, the better the chances that a student will incorporate college into his/her lifelong goals.

Norse Explore!

Community Connections offers campus visits to elementary and middle school groups.  Students in grades 4-8 will catch a glimpse of campus life from NKU student leaders, faculty and staff.

Visits typically include an interactive discussion about Northern Kentucky University and preparing for college, a campus walk and talk guided by current NKU students and a classroom experience.

With adequate prior notice, activities and presentations can be catered to your group's age, needs, size, dates and times.  We encourage groups to schedule at least three weeks in advance of the desired date.

All visits must be confirmed upon staff, faculty, student, and space availability. To request a Norse Explore group visit, fill out the Norse Explore Group Visit Request.
