It’s almost time to take that final walk across the stage to get your diploma.
This year, we will be celebrating Commencement in person. We are very excited to see everyone again and want you to be prepared! Along with the usual graduation survival guide, we have included some other safety tips for this unique year. For additional information, visit Commencement FAQs here.

Norse Up and Mask Up!
Don't forget to bring your mask for the commencement ceremony.
Social distance
Try to social distance as much as possible during your commencement ceremony.
Don’t forget to bring your cap and gown
That might sound obvious, but make sure it’s hanging up and ready to go (free of wrinkles!) Note: It’s not mandatory, but you can decorate your cap to add a little bit more to your outfit.
Comfort is everything
Wear comfy shoes. Heels are great, but if you have a hard time walking them, it’s better to go with flats.
Dress for success
Wear something nice underneath your gown. You’ll feel more put together and confident walking across the stage.
Don't get bogged down
Give any valuables you don’t want to carry to family or loved ones! It’ll be one less thing to worry about.
Don't rush!
Get there early. Doors open an hour before start time for each commencement ceremony.
Go social!
Use the hashtag #NKUGrad21 and #NKUAlumni when posting any photos online. You'll be able to see some of your posts on the social media wall this year!
