Chandra Huff dedicates her life to serving others.

As a peer mentor at Gateway Community and Technical College (GCTC), Huff helps college students with daycare, food instability and housing concerns.

Huff began her career at GCTC as a student. Shortly after receiving her associate degree in human services from GCTC, she realized that she wanted to dig deeper in the field. She wanted more responsibilities—to truly make a difference in the lives of others.

“I want to work with juveniles who have behavioral issues and help them when they get into trouble. I’ve experienced ADHD, anxiety and depression in my lifetime, and I have two teenagers with similar problems,” she says. “After going through that process with them, I realized that I could help other families who are struggling because of what’s happened to me in my own life.”
