FOCUS 2

FOCUS 2 is a self-paced, online career and education planning tool. It will enable you to assess your career-relevant personal qualities and to explore the college major and career areas that are most compatible with your interests, values, skills, personality, and aspirations.  This self-assessment is the first step; the second step is meeting with a Career Advisor in Career Services.  The Career Advisor will help you identify your next steps.

Students who use FOCUS 2 and meet with a Career Advisor make better decisions about their goals and plans and learn how to self-manage their careers.

Use FOCUS 2 to help you:

• identify the major areas of study at Northern Kentucky University that best match your assessment results;
• choose your major and also to verify your preferences or early choice of a career field;
• compare occupations you may be considering so that you make a more informed occupational choice;
• maintain your results by storing them in an online Student Portfolio that you can update as often as you wish.
