Scrapbook of Cassandra L. Taliaferro

Title preprinted on cover: The School Girl's Memory Book. 182 Pages. Information contained relates to the owner's High School experiences Highlands High School (Fort Thomas, Kentucky) as a member of the class of 1921. It includes:

  • Pressed sunburst rose - Class flower
  • List of Class Officers
  • Pictures of classmates and friends. These include snapshot photographs and newspaper pictures.
  • Classmates' and other students' Autographs
  • Teacher's Autographs.
  • Class prophesy.
  • Programs from various school events including the Mother Goose Pageant, A Musical Melange and the 1920 Highlands High School Commencement.
  • Souvenirs from social events, such as dance cards, napkins, etc.
  • Newspaper clippings of community events and happenings including Highlands High School sports stories.
  • Calling card with note written next to it listing gift received. Assumed to be for graduation gifts.
  • Handwritten humorous poems.
  • Program for Baccalaureate Services for Senior Class 1921 Highlands High School.
  • Class ribbon.
  • Contract for purchase of Annual (yearbook) and contract for purchase of advertisement in Annual (yearbook).
  • Miniature certificates for Perfect attendance and Promptness and Scholarship.

Numerous items have been inserted between pages of the scrapbook. Items which do not seem to relate to the subject of the pages between which they have been inserted, have been placed in separate folders in this box. Inserts have been placed in the scrapbook to indicate the location of those items in the scrapbook when it was received for processing. The arrangement of items in folders maintains the arrangement when items were processed. Items related to the subject of the section of the book have been left in the scrapbook.
