Personalized academic advising is one of the benefits of being a participant of Student Support Services. SSS advisors have the advantage of knowing the individual needs of their students and can assist them in preparing their class schedules based on these needs.
All SSS students have both an a major academic advisor in their program of study and an assigned advisor with SSS, so you always get the assistance you need.
All SSS advisors are certified Master Advisors through the Norse Advising Center

SSS advisors work with each students to develop achievable goals and action plans based upon their identified unique strengths. The Plan of Support will also identify a network of resources to help meet identified goals.
SSS ambassadors serve as leaders in planning, developing, and implementing educational and social opportunities for SSS students. They serve as role models and support key SSS activities in leadership, communication, and teamwork.
The SSS ambassadors program is selective and is a recognized student organization formed to build community and facilitate leadership development. They have a constitution, hold regular meetings, elect leadership, and establish guidelines for membership.
Each semester, SSS students and members of the NKU community are invited to a celebration to recognized the achievements of our SSS graduating scholars and their families.

TRIO SSS has instituted a laptop loan program to provide students with technology that is sufficient to meet the demands of their coursework.
