This will focus on the different forms of AI and how it has been used in education and seek to enlighten about the benefits of AI. This discussion will help faculty participating in the Common Experience program add additional information literacy practices to their teaching.

This part of the series will be a session helping Common Experience faculty learn how to apply AI in the class and focus on teaching ethical and responsible use. It will review how to use it to develop ideas and outline AI's limits.

This will involve faculty who have participated in the Common Experience program from different colleges who utilized AI in their classroom before the Spring 2023 semester discussing their thoughts and use. This will include an assignment spotlight which opens those faculty to bring an assignment they would like to use AI with or have used AI within a workgroup environment. This will showcase any CE faculty participating in the AI pilot program used their selected AI in the classroom.

This last conversation in the series will allow Common Experience faculty from colleges across campus to participate in a cluster to develop tips and guides for administering an AI policy in their classes. This will take all of the conversations and pull upon the topic of how AI and Higher Education can help move forward and address the needs of students moving into the workforce and needing these skills.

Join Faculty representatives as they discuss their interpretation of and use in their fields concerning the Common Experience book, Educated. The panel discussion about the content in the book, and provides an opportunity for faculty, staff, and students to learn more about higher education barriers and the need to support pathways to success in multiple fields of study and application.

Faculty representatives discussed their interpretation of and used in their fields concerning the Common Experience book, Weapons of Math Destruction. This event was a panel discussion about the book's content. It allowed faculty, staff, and students to learn more about Big Data and its use in multiple fields of study and application. Watch here.
