Grant Lifecycle Status | An attribute of a grant within the grants management module. The grant lifecycle status is where the grant is at in post award. There are multiple statuses: Award - preaward payroll only--Grant is open for payroll expenditures only. In preaward status until the final contract is received. Award - preaward all--Grant is open for all expenditures but remains in preaward status until the final contract is received. Award - preaward final--Final contract has been received and grant is open for all expenditures. Grant remains in preaward status until the budget is entered in Comptroller's Office. The amount type of a travel request shows the initial commitment for a trip (0100 - Original), any changes (0150 - Change), and the final reduction (0200 - reduction) once a trip becomes an actual from the travel expense form. |
Travel Destination Location | A attribute of a trip within the travel management module. The location is a description of the destination in which the traveler is going. |
Travel Expense Type | A element of recording different types of costs within the travel management module. Travel expense types are defined as all the different types of expenses that an employee would incur while traveling. These expense types include prepaid by NKU and expense needing reimbursed. Travel expense types are mapped to GL Accounts for posting to financial accounting records. The travel expense types are labeled as expense types. |

The region of main destination is the destination, if a domestic travel this will be the state, if international travel it is the region within the specific country. Contract Type | A contract type classifies contracts according to the planned duration and the legal status. Used for faculty, staff and contract staff employees. |
Credit Hours | The unit that is the basis for the corresponding calculation of hours associated with Part-Time Faculty pay. |

Employee Group | Groups used to classify employees in general terms in the SAP HR module. Employee groups allow default data to be generated for payroll processing, serve as selection criteria for reporting, and constitute an authorization check. Examples: Staff, Contract Staff, Student Worker, Faculty, Retiree and External (consultant/volunteer). |
Employee Insider Information Indicator | Indicator denoting that an employee has access to insider information. |

Therefore, a person can have multiple personnel numbers, but only one external personal ID. For concurrently employed employees, multiple personnel assignments (and thus multiple personnel numbers) can be assigned to a personal ID number. |
