The Norse Support Council consists of students trained to serve as first points of contact for campus community members struggling with emotional and mental health challenges.
All council members have completed a one-credit-hour course, HSR 294: Norse Support Training. Created in conjunction with the president’s Student Mental Health Initiative and the university’s Mental Health Advisory Group, Norse Support Training provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary to engage in effective peer support, including brief intervention methods and information about on-campus wellness resources.
