"I look forward to working as a mental health nurse focusing on LGBTQ+ youth. I love NKU because of the overwhelmingly positive and safe environment for LGBTQ+ students. Not only do we have growing platforms for queer and Trans folk, but we also have amazing student resources who willingly speak about their experiences, who help closeted students, and who train faculty/staff/students on how to be an ally. I love being an ambassador for the Office of LGBTQ+ Programs and Services because I am able to make a difference actively. I focus on mental health and have moderated panels for junior year nursing students for the past two semesters. NKU has made such a positive difference for college LGBTQ+ individuals, and that is why I came to NKU."
