Carlee Franklin, a Winchester, Kentucky native, is graduating summa cum laude with dual degrees from the College of Informatics with a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems, and from the Haile College of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Marketing.

As a lifelong student, Franklin loves learning and would spend her free time researching various topics of interest throughout her childhood. This curiosity and love for knowledge fueled her drive to graduate college despite the setbacks she encountered growing up. She has found Northern Kentucky University an amazing environment to continue her journey of growth and self-discovery as one of the best colleges in the nation.

Franklin has found Northern Kentucky University an amazing environment to continue her journey of growth and self-discovery as one of the best colleges in the nation.

Throughout her four years at NKU, Franklin has excelled academically as a frequent recipient of President’s list honors and was named the Haile College of Business’s Marketing Student of the Year. She has been active in many student organizations including STEM Peer Mentors, Presidential Ambassadors and Haile College of Business Ambassadors. Franklin also earned two publications in IEEE Future Directions for her research in cybersecurity and psychology, she had the amazing opportunity to study abroad in Prague, Czech Republic.

Franklin has greatly expanded her field experience throughout her college career with six internships at five different employers including Western & Southern, Heritage Bank and local nonprofits. After graduation, Franklin will move to Denver, Colorado to return to her previous internship employer, Ibotta, as a B2B marketing associate, combining her passions for technology and creative marketing.
