Description: This revision has been proposed by Research, Grants and Contracts in response to requirements from the federal Office of Research Integrity. These revisions, which can be viewed on this marked-up version, clarify the process for interim actions (e.g., where misconduct creates a health/safety risk) and the standard for initiating a misconduct investigation. These proposed revisions have been reviewed and approved by the Faculty Senate and its Professional Concerns Committee (PCC). Because this policy also appears in the Faculty Handbook (Sec. 16.7), corresponding changes will be made there as well.
Applicability: This policy applies to all Northern Kentucky University faculty and staff engaged in research.
Comment Period: January 25, 2025 - February 25, 2025.
