The charge of the work group on Mission, Vision, and Values Review is to provide assistance to the Strategic Planning Committee in the follow ways:

  • Review and discuss NKU’s mission statement, vision statement, and statement of values, and compile and review similar statements for other public comprehensive metropolitan universities as well as other public institutions in Kentucky.

  • Formulate questions that should be included in survey instruments and Open Forum meetings that would help inform the work group’s recommendations on revisions to the institution’s mission, vision, and values.

  • Provide recommendations for revisions on the university’s mission, vision, and values to the Strategic Planning Committee by April 8, 2013.

  • Provide additional support as requested by the Strategic Planning Committee.

  • Endorse, follow, and promote the guiding principles for the strategic planning process
