Amy joined Health, Counseling & Student Wellness as the Director of Student Counseling Services in 2019. She has worked with a variety of clients in diverse settings, such as private practice, community mental health, foster care, faith based, court ordered and jails. She specializes in sex and relationship therapy and is passionate about guiding clients in their journey towards self-love, wholeness and connection. Amy previously worked at NKU as the Clinical Coordinator for the Training and Development Center program from 2011-2015. She is excited to be back at NKU and looks forward to engaging with students and collaborating with campus partners.

Sam joined Health, Counseling & Student Wellness as the Associate Director of Student Counseling Services in 2022. Sam has previously worked in settings focused on serving people with Eating Disorders, Cancer Patients and their families, and the LGBTQIA+ community. In session, Sam enjoys helping people clarify their values, develop self-compassion, and learn how to use their own authentic voice. Some of Sam's current projects at NKU include creating a group for Social Anxiety, building a support group for Trans and Non-Binary folx, and providing supervision and training to graduate student interns.

Kaitlyn joined the Health, Counseling & Student Wellness team as an intern in 2021 while attending NKU's Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, and she was hired as a clinician after graduating the program in 2022. Kaitlyn is passionate about providing counseling services to students at NKU and genuinely enjoys connecting with others. Kaitlyn takes a person-centered approach and has an interest in a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, body image, eating disorders, and self-esteem. She also enjoys working with NKU student athletes, and she is currently working with the men and women's tennis teams alongside Dr. Randy Cutler. Kaitlyn is ecstatic to continue working with NKU students, and she is extremely grateful to be a part of the NKU community.

Brittany joined the Health, Counseling & Student Wellness team as an intern while she was attending NKU and pursuing her Master’s degree. She returned to the counseling center as a licensed clinician in October 2021 within a contract position where she provided mental health counseling services for student parents who are attending NKU. Brittany has since transitioned into a general clinician position within the Health, Counseling & Student Wellness office where she continues to see student parents and is now able to serve all students within NKU. She has found her passion in working with college students and enjoys the opportunity to work with a variety of mental health concerns within a diverse population. Brittany previously worked at NKU within the Office of Student Financial Assistance from 2016-2021. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to continue serving the NKU student population and working with others within the NKU community.

Randy joined Health, Counseling and Student Wellness in 2013. He comes to NKU after spending 10 years working within a community mental health agency in Lexington, Kentucky. During this time, his work included providing counseling and outreach services for Transylvania University students. Randy is excited about the opportunity to work with students once again. He has general interests in providing both counseling and psychological assessment and has a special interest in the area of sports performance enhancement.

D’ominique joined Health, Counseling and Student Wellness in 2023. She comes to NKU after spending several years in diverse settings working with various populations. D’ominique spent the last 10 years working with populations in residential, K-12, Foster Care and Adoption, Private Practice, and HCJFS clients. She enjoys working with clients struggling with anxiety, life stressors, and transitions, self-esteem, confidence, body issues, and intimacy/relationship concerns. D’ominique’s goal is to create a space safe where clients feel valued, heard, and understood, to promote healing, personal development and growth. D’ominique is looking forward to serving the students of NKU, being a support for faculty and staff, as well as continuing her passion of ensuring proper representation, diversity, and inclusion as it relates to mental health.

Colin began at Health, Counseling & Student Wellness in 2021, after graduating NKU’s Mental Health Counseling program and interning at HCSW for a year. His earlier education was based in psychology and philosophy, and he has worked in a variety of mental health and education settings including residential retirement, behavior therapy, and other college campuses. He values empathetic connection, and teaches an undergraduate course on peer support in addition to working as a clinician. Colin uses eclectic person-centered, trauma-informed therapy. Though his special interests are with trauma, personal meaning, and existential concerns, he is enthusiastic to work with any and all clients.

Kelly is an alumni of NKU graduating in 2018. Since graduating he has worked in a community mental health agency working to serve various populations of people including children, adolescents, and adults providing work in substance use and severe mental illness. He has long since had a passion for working in a university setting and hopes that he can give back to the school that offered so much support to him. He has a strong passion for working with college aged students working in areas focused on trauma and relationships utilizing varying treatment modalities including emotion focused therapy, cognitive processing therapy and IMAGO styles of therapy.
