UCAP and Gown

University Connect & Persist (UCAP) has partnered with Special Events and Alumni Programs to create the UCAP and Gown Program. This program offers graduating undergraduate students the ability to borrow a commencement gown FREE of charge. *Students must still purchase a cap and tassel.

You have accomplished great things and the Commencement Ceremony is a meaningful way to celebrate.

There are a limited number of gowns available; gowns are reserved on a first come/ first served basis. Once you complete the interest form, you will be contacted by UCAP to set up a meeting. To fully reserve your gown, you must attend this meeting.

Please note that this is currently only available to undergraduate students.

Interest Form

Please follow these steps below, to gain access to a FREE gown: 

1. Complete the form below. 
   • Please include all information requested on the form. This will ensure that we are able to identify and correctly reserve the exact gown for you. Friday, April 12th, is the last day to submit the form.
     
2. Schedule your meeting with a UCAP team member.     
   • You will receive an email from a UCAP team member with instructions on how to schedule the meeting.  
   • YOU MUST ATTEND THIS MEETING IN ORDER TO OFFICIALLY RESERVE YOUR GOWN.
3. Pick up your gown from the UCAP office during the week of finals 
   • May 1st - May 3rd   
     
     • Our office is located in University Center, Rm 120 
     • Office hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm 
4. Return your gown to the UCAP office OR to the Campus Rec by no later than Friday, May 10th!

This form will close on Friday, April 12th at 12:00pm NOON.
