Subject: $75 Commuter Meal Plan Update

Dear Students:

The Commuter Meal Plan Fee has been raised to $75. We designed this $75
dining plan to have many built-in advantages for students.

• Dining dollars work just like cash and can be used at all Chartwells food and beverage operations on campus.
• You save 6 percent each purchase! You will not have to pay sales tax on food and beverage purchases with this $75 in Dining flex.
• Any balances from fall semester will carry over into spring semester.
• All balances are removed on the last day of classes of the Spring Semester
• You can always add additional dining dollars at any time by visiting DineOnCampus.com/NKU.

Please keep in mind the $75 in Dining Flex will be a mandatory program for all full-time NKU commuter students and is designed to supplement on-campus dining needs. Students will be able to enjoy meals, snacks and beverages at all on-campus dining locations.

$75 in Dining Flex will automatically be loaded onto each student’s ALL CARD (your NKU ID) on the first day of classes during fall and spring semester. The funds will not be available during university breaks or during the summer semester.

Some students will be exempt from this plan, including:

• All undergraduate students enrolled in eight (8) or fewer academic hours and not classified as full-time students per university policy.
• All graduate students, both day and evening, who are not classified as full-time students per university policy.
• Students in fully online or online accelerated programs.
• All University of Kentucky Medical School students as they are UK students and not NKU students.

The Commuter Meal Plan will be applied to each student’s account and must be paid through NKU’s Student Account Services Office. You may send your questions to Andy Meeks at MEEKSA@nku.edu or speak with Student Account Services.
