The University Police building was constructed in 1968 as a private residence; in 1970 it was one of the original parcels purchased for the new Highland Heights campus.  The house was used as the president's residence until 1999, when it was renovated to accommodate the university's honors program and was known as Honors House. Honors vacated the building in 2018. In 2022, University Police moved to the building after an extensive renovation.
