Dear graduate,

Commencement is coming up fast and we hope to see you in person to celebrate! As a reminder, here are some important dates to keep in mind.

  • D.N.P and Ed.D. custom regalia: Orders must be submitted by the end of the day on October 25. 
  • Non-custom doctoral regalia will be available to order until November 8. Please talk to your program director for more information. 
  • Caps and gowns are still available for purchase online. Herff Jones will accept online regalia orders until November 8. 
  • Undergraduate and master's regalia is available to purchase in person at the NKU Bookstore through December 14
  • Make a difference before you graduate. Make your Class Gift of $20.24 or more before December 5 and receive a philanthropist stole to wear at graduation.

Key commencement details to share with your friends and family members:

  • Tickets and seating: Tickets are not required and there is no limit on the number of guests who may attend. Seating is open on a first-come, first-served basis. 
  • Doors open: Guests and graduates are welcome to enter the Truist Arena one hour prior to the start of the ceremony.
  • Bags: Attendees are subject to a standard bag check at the entrances. No outside food or drink is permitted in Truist Arena (visit the arena website for a list of prohibited items).
  • Graduation gifts: Flowers may be brought into the venue and are available for sale at Truist Arena. To order flowers and find size restrictions, click here
  • Parking: All lots and garages on campus are open and free on December 14.
  • Directions: For a campus map and driving directions, click here.
  • Drop off: Guests who have physical limitations can be dropped off in the circle drive by the flagpoles at the main entrance to the arena or enter through the East Gate off Lot O. Learn more about special accommodations.
  • Watch online: Both ceremonies will be streamed live. Visit nku.edu/commencement for the live stream. Videos will be posted on NKU's YouTube channel after the event.
