Scholarship Renewal Requirements: Northern Kentucky University, Greater Cincinnati Region

NKU merit scholarships and awards are reviewed annually, following the spring semester, for renewal based on the criteria below. Recipients should review renewal criteria regularly to ensure all requirements are met for the next academic year. The Office of Student Financial Assistance anticipates having renewed scholarships on eligible student accounts by the end of June 2026 for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year.

Students Admitted to NKU Fall 2025 to Present

Note: NKU summer coursework can be used to make up deficiencies if a student does not meet the renewal criteria. Dual credit and college coursework taken at another institution do not count toward NKU scholarship renewal. Accelerated Online programs are not eligible for merit awards. If renewal criteria are not met, the scholarship will not be renewed for the upcoming academic year.
