By investing in the Fund for Excellence, you will support the greatest needs of the university. From technology upgrades for our labs and classrooms to scholarships and programs that enhance the educational experience, your gift will touch the lives of thousands of NKU students.
A gift to your college or department helps to shape the leaders of tomorrow. NKU offers students hands-on research, experiential learning, study abroad and internships that strengthen their degrees and prepares them for their careers. Supporting your college or department means more students can take advantage of these opportunities and graduate ready to succeed.
Your gift to scholarships will help students fulfill their dreams of going to college. By providing more educational opportunities, we can help more students build careers and strengthen our region. With state funding eroding over the last two decades, we cannot do it without your support.
A gift to Athletics is an investment in our student-athletes. While representing the Norse in the game, student-athletes also achieve academically, are involved on campus and in the community. Your support of Athletics provides travel and academic support, facilities maintenance and updated resources that elevate play.
Sometimes, all that separates students from the graduation stage is access to fresh meals, the means to purchase their textbooks or advocates for their continued success. That’s why NKU is proud to provide resources such as the FUEL NKU food pantry, the University Connect and Persist (UCAP) Textbook Lending at Steely Library and the Norse Violence Prevention Center.
The Center for Student Inclusiveness houses NKU’s African American Student Initiatives, Latino Student Initiatives and LGBTQA+ Student Initiatives. CSI offers programming that puts students first and supports NKU’s value of providing “a community that embraces inclusiveness, diversity, and global awareness” to students.
When unexpected financial emergencies strike, students shouldn’t have to miss out on their college educations. That’s why, at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, NKU created the Student Emergency Fund. Students may apply for grants to help pay for unforeseen expenses so they can remain enrolled at NKU and graduate.
