Supplemental payment is appropriate only when the content of special assignment is added to 100% of the current normal assignment. If this activity is occurring during the employee's normal working hours, a statement must be attached indicating an adjusted work schedule or the intent to use accrued vacation leave for the supplemental assignment.

Payment of supplemental wages to staff employees for work that is performed outside the regular department is subject to the provisions of the NKU Personnel Policies & Procedure Section E12.
