Overview of Workshop Request Process

In order to request a program, training or workshop through the NVP Center, please e-mail us at nvp@nku.edu.  Please provide as many details as possible regarding the audience and specific needs of the workshop.  We request a minimum of 30 minutes in order to meet the basic need of providing education on issues related to sexual assault, partner violence, and stalking.  If you request a workshop that includes too many topic areas, the presenter may contact you to set up a series of workshops to effectively address your needs. 

We cannot guarantee that your workshop request will be honored due to the availability of staff during the requested date/time.  Chances of honoring requests are greater if there is an alternate date and time,  and, if the request is submitted at least two (2) weeks in advance. We look forward to working with you.

WORKSHOP TOPICS 

• Bystander Intervention: Learn how to identify situations that might result in abuse and skills to effectively intervene.
• Help a Friend: Overview on sexual and dating violence and how to support a friend
• Healthy & Unhealthy Relationships: Recognizing positive and negative qualities in relationships and warning signs of abuse
• Overview of the NVP Center and services
• Consent Culture: understanding the importance of communication in intimate situations
