An advocate can confidentially answer questions, provide information about options, and help with safety planning.

Survivors have a right to include an advocate in meeting with University administrators and law enforcement, in medical appointments, and in court proceedings.

 A sexual assault medical exam ensures:

• Physical injuries that may have occured are promptly identified and addressed.
• Survivors receive medication for prevention of pregnancy, HIV, or other infections.
• Evidence is collected by a trained Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner and preserved for a criminal investigation now or in the future.

Health, Counseling, and Student Wellness offers counseling services for students as well as Forward Together, an 8-week sexual assault support group. These services assist students in developing skills to manage negative symptoms resulting from a traumatic experience.

The Office of Title IX investigates complaints related to sexual misconduct, relationship violence, and stalking. They may be able to assist with interim protective measures on campus including:
