Dear graduate,

Commencement is coming up fast – we hope to see you in-person to celebrate!

DNP and EdD Custom Regalia still available for purchase but ordering is closing soon

DNP and EdD custom doctoral regalia orders must be turned in by the end of the day on Friday, March 8.

Non-custom doctoral regalia will still be available to order until April 3. Please talk to your program director for more information.

Caps and gowns are still available for purchase but online ordering is closing soon.

Online regalia orders will be available until the end of the day on Wednesday, April 3, from the Herff Jones website.

After April 3, you can still shop in person at the NKU Bookstore in the University Center. Undergraduate and master’s regalia will be available in person at the NKU Bookstore through Sunday, May 5.

Key commencement details to share with your friends and family members:

  • Tickets and seating: there is no limit on the number of guests who may attend, tickets are not required. Seating is open on a first come, first served basis.
  • Doors open one hour prior to the start of the ceremony for both guests and graduates. There will not be early admittance, so please plan arrival accordingly.
  • Bags: all attendees will be subject to a standard bag check at the arena entrances. No outside food or drink is permitted in Truist Arena (visit the arena website for full list of prohibited items).
  • Graduation gifts: flowers may be brought into the venue, and are also available for sale at Truist Arena. To order flowers or find size restrictions and other information on graduation gifts visit Arena Policies: Flowers, Gifts, Prohibited Items, and Other Information.
  • Parking is open and free all over campus on May 5.
  • For a campus map and driving directions, visit map.nku.edu.
  • Guests may be dropped off in the circle drive by the flagpoles at the main entrance to the arena. Guests may also enter via the East Gate off Lot O behind the arena. Visit our website for additional information on special accommodations.
  • Watch online: commencement ceremonies will also be streamed live – virtual guests should visit nku.edu/commencement on May 5 for the live stream. The videos will be posted afterwards on NKU’s YouTube channel.
