What is the single best thing you can do for your health?

Move more. Every step counts!

Sign up for presentations and clinics with Airrosti Rehab Center and Fall Friday Yoga for faculty and staff only.

Tips to Increase Movement During the Day:

  1. Follow the 60:3 Rule: After sitting for 60 minutes, get up and move around for 3 minutes. Set a reminder on your phone or in your work calendar.
  2. When talking on the phone, listening to a podcast or watching a webinar, get up and walk around.
  3. Take a walk on your lunch break. It can be 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes, depending on how much time you have to spare after eating.
  4. Use a restroom that is farther away to add more steps in your day.
  5. Park farther away from your destination.
  6. Turn off your camera in virtual meetings when appropriate and move around.
  7. Schedule time during a long meeting and in between meetings to move.
  8. Schedule time for exercise in the morning before work, at lunch time or in the evening. Block out the time in your calendar and treat it like an appointment.
  9. Move while watching your favorite shows. Use commercial breaks to move or get up and move between episodes.
