The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (or simply Clery Act) requires institutions of higher education that receive federal aid to report specified crime statistics on college campuses and to provide other safety and crime information to members of the campus community. The U.S. Department of Education holds enforcement authority for the Clery Act and there is a minimum penalty of $59,017 for each violation of the regulations that define the reporting requirements.

Northern Kentucky University is dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Many individuals and departments are involved in campus safety and security.

At Northern Kentucky University, we endeavor to consistently provide accurate information to our community regarding the safety of our campus. In conjunction with these efforts, we make our policies, procedures, and statistics available electronically on this site.

Additional information pertaining to the Jeanne Clery Act can be located within NKU's Disclosure Of Campus Security and Crime Statistics policy.

Annual Security Report

The University is required by federal law to produce and distribute an annual security report containing crimes statistics and statements of security policy to the University community, and the U.S. Department of Education. This Regulation implements the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act).
