Who May Vote:

Amendments to the Constitution are decided by a vote of the General Faculty. To be ratified, an amendment must receive a two-thirds majority of the votes cast. As defined in the Constitution, the General Faculty includes all tenured and tenure-track faculty, as well as full-time non-tenure-track renewable faculty (e.g., Teaching, Clinical, Professors of Practice).

Voting Time Line & Results:
Voting will begin 12pm Friday, May 2, 2025 - 12pm Friday, May 9, 2025
Results will be announced at the Faculty Senate meeting on May 9, 2025.

Ratification:
If an amendment is approved by a two-thirds majority of those voting, it becomes effective upon ratification by the Board of Regents. The item may be scheduled for a vote at the Board of Regents meeting on June 11, 2025.
