The collection development policy for W. Frank Steely Library guides library faculty and staff in meeting collection goals aligned with the library’s mission. It informs the university community of the principles guiding material selection and provides direction for allocating collection funds. The policy also affirms the library’s commitment to supporting current teaching at the university and responding to emerging models of research and scholarship.

The collection development policy for the NKU Digital Repository provides an overview of the mission, scope, and guidelines for the Digital Repository, including the types of materials collected, eligibility for submission and author rights related to access and licensing.

All users of the Steely Library are expected to behave in a manner which promotes the full use, operation, and enjoyment of the Library's resources and facilities. 

The library has seven technology-enhanced group study rooms available for reservation to help students, faculty, and staff complete academic work.
