These spaces are dedicated areas within the library conducive to individual or group study.
Individual study areas are located throughout the Steely Library. On the first, second, and fourth floors, you’ll find individual desks and study carrels in a quiet atmosphere. Note that the fourth floor is the only designated quiet study area in the library. The third floor houses many of the library’s expert research services along with large tables. This floor is more conducive to peer learning and group study.
The library has eight technology-enhanced group study rooms available for reservation to help students, faculty, and staff complete academic work. Group Study Rooms are located on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors.
The Loggia is located just inside the 3rd floor exterior entrance to Steely Library. It’s a collaborative study area that features coffee and food from Einstein Bros. Bagels.
The Pathfinder Study Tables are located on the 4th floor of Steely Library in support of NKU’s Pathfinder Program. This space is available for anyone to use, but serves as a check-in point for students participating in the Pathfinder Program.
Quiet Study space is located on the library’s fourth floor and is for focused study in a comfortable, very quiet, environment.
