" I’m always in awe of my students’ tenacity and determination. As for my colleagues, they are incredible human beings, kind, compassionate, and intelligent."

What is your favorite thing about NKU?
This is an easy question … my students and my colleagues. NKU students are hardworking and have often overcome (or are actively overcoming) great adversity. I’m always in awe of my students’ tenacity and determination. As for my colleagues, they are incredible human beings, kind, compassionate and intelligent.

Where is your favorite spot on campus? What makes that spot so special?
Our Social Work suite, because of the sense of community that I feel when I’m there and the area around the pond, because I love being outside and around animals.

What’s the first word that comes to mind when you think about NKU?
Students! We wouldn’t be here without them. Working with students is what makes me tick.

What is your favorite way to spend your free time?
I love to be outside with my family, preferably hiking in a beautiful national park or swimming in the ocean. I also love to travel.

What is your greatest passion?
Trying to ensure that all people are treated equitable, and with kindness and compassion.

Tell us anything else about yourself and/or NKU that you want folks to know (include any NKU social media handles you are connected with/use).
I have four amazing kids and a fantastic husband. They are my world!
