In addition to her stellar teaching, Dr. Terhune is also serving as the MSW Program Director. What is your favorite thing about NKU?
I love the emphasis that we have on supporting our students, and I especially appreciate the initiatives NKU has taken to support the mental health needs of students. My time at NKU has been very collaborative, and I have had the privilege to work with so many individuals in different departments on campus. I love the collaborative spirit we have at NKU. 

Where is your favorite spot on campus? What makes that spot so special?
I enjoy sitting outside by the water near the Fine Arts Center. It is a peaceful place on campus, and I still have a view of how active the campus is. 

What’s the first word that comes to mind when you think about NKU?
Innovative.

What is your favorite way to spend your free time?
Spending time with my husband and children, and watching musical theatre productions. 

What is your greatest passion?
Helping people reduce the impact that trauma has had on their lives. 

Tell us anything else about yourself and/or NKU that you want folks to know.
I have the privilege of working with an incredible team on campus that helped NKU become the first Age-Friendly University (AFU) in Kentucky. We have exciting initiatives happening to help build more age-inclusive opportunities at NKU. Please reach out to me if you would like to learn more about our AFU work!
