Emergency Maintenance Requests refer to repairs that are necessary to either eliminate a clear threat to life or safety, or to prevent extensive building damage. These items must be repaired and corrected immediately. Please visit your residential area’s desk or contact the Resident Assistant on Duty if the Housing Office is closed.

• Flooded areas and water leaks
• No air or heat
• No electricity
• Hazards to a resident's security
• Overflowing Toilet
• Smell of smoke or gas

Due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), based on national guidance for physical distancing, and to remain in compliance with university and state policies, the Callahan and Norse Commons Desks are staffed remotely during the day and closed at night. A Desk Assistant is available during working hours by calling one of the listed numbers below. After working hours and on weekends, please contact the RA on Duty for your area. Mail Service hours are listed below.

Open Daily in each Village from 10:00a-8:00p.

This information may automatically fill in if you log on with your NKU username and password.

Step 2:

Fill out your building and room location, this includes:

• Your location, alwasy put University Housing.
• Your building
• The area you're concerned with
• Specific area/room number

Step 3:

This includes selecting the type of problem. ONLY select Housing for this step. Selecting any other option will route your request to Main Campus and could potentially delay a response time from the University Housing Maintenance Staff. 

Step 4:

Please describe the problem or maintenance concern that you are submitting a request for.

Step 5:

Select "University Housing/Dorms" as your purpose for the request. 

Step 6:

Select the date in which you would like your issue to be completed by. This is subject to be changed by the Facilities Specialist dependent upon the availability of staff and priority concerns that may take place. 

Step 7: 

If you have any pictures or documentation that applies to your request and may help clarify a concern, you may attach it using the link provided in this step.

Step 8:

Click "Submit" to finalize your request and to forward this form to the Housing Maintenance Department.
