Bio
Originally from Ohio, Scott obtained has his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Wright State University and Youngstown State University in Mathematics and Curriculum & Instruction respectively. After spending four years at St. John’s University in New York City as a Residence Hall Director, he transitioned to Arizona State University as an Area Coordinator. During his five years at Arizona State University, Scott was promoted to Assistant Director Residence Life then Associate Director of Housing. After his tenure at Arizona State University, Scott accepted a position at University of Georgia as Associate Director for Residential Programs and Services.

Dr. Timothy P. Leyson joins the Norse community as the new Associate Director of Housing Operations. Dr. Leyson previously served as the interim director of housing at Santa Clara University in California. With over 10 years of experience in higher education and student retention strategies, Dr. Leyson keeps student achievement at the forefront of his work. He is actively involved with the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) and is the chair to The Placement Exchange (TPE) Steering Committee. University Housing is excited to welcome Dr. Leyson to the team and Norse nation.

Brittany serves as the new Associate Director of Residence Life. She previously served as the Assistant Director of Residence Life at the University of Central Arkansas prior to her Associate Director role at NKU. In addition to her experience at the University of Central Arkansas, Britany also served as an Interim Director of Residence Life at Philander Smith College in Little Rock Arkansas, an Assistant Director of Special Housing Operations at North Carolina Central University, and as an ACUHO-I intern for NKU’s University Housing as part of her graduate studies.

BIO
Nicole Jones has joined the University Housing team as our new Academic and Billing Coordinator. Nicole is an NKU alum and is coming back to the NKU from their work in Early Childhood Education for the last 10 years. Nicole will be working closely with students who plan to live on campus and need to get registered or have an outstanding balance. Much of her work will align with Success By Design through connecting students to resources and streamlining communications in collaboration with other areas. We are excited to welcome Nicole back to NKU and to our University Housing team!

Bio
Bernadette completed both her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master’s degree in counseling with a concentration in college student affairs at the University of West Georgia. After her experience at the University of West Georgia, Bernadette worked a year at Spring Hill College (SHC) in Mobile, Alabama. After SHC, Bernadette worked at Radford University for four years supervising over 5 different communities during her time there and over 60 RAs across the 4 years. One of Bernadette’s proudest accomplishments to date was getting the 800+ bed apartment communities at Radford University structured in terms of staffing needs, duty needs, and opening and closing processes.

Khalid Murray is joining the Norse Nation after obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Washington University in St. Louis. He is stepping into the role of Assignments Coordinator where he will assist students with booking their space, room changes, occupancy management, and other room designation related tasks. This is his first role working in Higher Ed and has dreams of becoming a College/Academic Advisor and perhaps one day a Dean. He looks forward to going back to school to get a Masters Degree after gaining more experience in the field.

Kyndreck Scott, a recent alumnus of Northern Kentucky University, has accepted the role of Quarantine Specialist here at in Housing at NKU. Kyndreck earned his Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and graduated this past December. He has had a number of different leadership opportunities during his time at NKU; Fuel NKU intern, desk assistant, and student lead to name a few.
Kyndreck is originally from Frankfurt Kentucky and is also a proud Bengals fan. Many of you may have seen him around campus on his longboard as he is a self-proclaimed skater boy. He is excited to join the team and help students navigate the pandemic in positive ways.

Lauren is from Owensboro, Kentucky. She graduated from NKU in May with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and minors in organizational leadership and prelaw. At NKU she was involved in student government, Leadership Mentors, and the women's Club Soccer team. Lauren will be starting at Chase this fall and hopes to get her J.D. in May 2024.

Webster is an International graduate student from The Netherlands. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Siena Heights University in Michigan. In addition to his studies, Webster was a student athlete on the varsity men’s soccer team. Webster is pursuing a master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

Sadeja Harper is joining NKU housing from the University of Central Arkansas where she is finishing her Master’s degree in College Student Personnel Administration. During her time there she served as the Graduate Assistant in the Office of Diversity & Community, was an intern for Housing & Residence Life, and held a Residence Coordinator role.
Sadeja is from the luxurious St. Louis, Missouri. She is a daughter, sister, aunt, and partner. During her free time, she enjoys cloud watching, eating chicken and bringing humor to others. During Sadeja’s undergraduate career at Truman State University, she served as an advocate for women of color through the development of the organization TruSisters. TruSisters was created following the suicide of a fellow Black female student on her campus and stands for trust, resilience, uniqueness, solidarity, intelligence, safety, teachers, empowerment, radiance, and self-love.

Cleminth is originally from Louisville, Kentucky. He attended the University of Louisville for his undergraduate years, where he received his bachelor’s degree in History. He then attended Murray State University where he received his master’s degree in Human Development and Leadership with a concentration in College Student Personnel. He is currently pursuing a PhD. in Higher Education Administration from The University of Alabama. Prior to arriving at Northern Kentucky University Cleminth also worked as a Graduate Community Director at The University of Alabama for four years.

Haley Jacobs, originally a graduate assistant for housing, has been hired on as a full time Hall Director. Haley is currently in the Master’s degree program for Public Administration here at NKU. As a Cincinnati native, she is a huge Bengals fan and is filled with excitement and anticipation of their super bowl appearance possibilities. This year Haley won the Graduate Assistant of the Year award for the commonwealth of Kentucky’s Kentucky Association of Housing Officers (KAHO) and we are very lucky to have her dedicating more of her time to our students.
Haley is a graduate of University of Kentucky where she earned two Bachelor’s degrees: one in Communications and one in Business Management. She was an active member of her sorority and brings a strong desire to learn and support students.
