NKU Housing hosts a variety of guests, camps, and conferences throughout the year. This page outlines the available housing options and helps determine the appropriate request process based on the type of visit and payment structure.
Choosing between Guest Housing and Conference Housing?
Here’s the difference:
Guest Housing is available for individuals or small groups visiting NKU when each guest is responsible for their own payment. This option is appropriate for guests whose stay does not qualify as Conference Housing.
When submitting a request, specific arrival and departure dates are required. University Housing requests at least two weeks’ notice for Guest Housing requests; however, shorter timeframes may be accommodated based on availability. Availability is limited and varies by time of year.
University Housing hosts a variety of camps and conferences within the residential communities, primarily during the summer months. Groups planning to pay as a single group must go through the Conference Housing process.
Conference Housing is coordinated through Conference Management and Event Services. For questions about hosting a camp or conference, please contact Conference Management and Event Services.

University Housing offers a limited number of fully furnished VIP Suites in select residential halls. These suites are intended for University-sponsored guests and are also available for NKU faculty and staff when University-related travel or work responsibilities require an overnight stay.
VIP Suites include additional amenities similar to a local hotel and are not open to the general public. Due to limited availability, VIP Suites are often booked in advance and requests are subject to review.
