All students living on-campus are required to meet the Housing Eligibility Criteria policy, see below.
Students who do not meet the housing eligibility requirement will not be allowed to move into their assigned residence hall space and will have their assignment cancelled.
The University Housing Academic and Billing Coordinator will continue outreach to students with outstanding balance and course registration issues.
Should you want to schedule an appointment to discuss your eligibility, please email housing@nku.edu.
All students who will be living on-campus for the coming year will need to schedule their move-in appointment. Move-in appointment times are based on the building you are living in for the coming academic year.
Step 1: Log into Housing Portal
Step 2: On the main housing portal page, scroll down to your “Assignments” block and you will see your building Check-In time portal selection.
Step 3: Pick the move-in time you want for Thursday, August 14, for your residence hall.
Step 4: Set a reminder in your personal calendar of your check-in time
Once all the move-in times for a timeslot have been filled, the time slot will no longer be available. Make sure to sign up early
All residents will have until August 8 at 5:00p EST to change their move-in time. After this date, we will not be able to change move-in times.
Move-In Day is August 14!
Move-In Day is both our First-Year and Returning students. Do not forget to sign up for a move-in time via your Housing Portal by Friday, August 8th, 2025.
On August 14, NKU Housing will be providing an Assisted Move-In process where students and their families will interact with Move-In Volunteers to assist with getting their belongings to their residence hall space.
University Housing is pausing room changes as we prepare for move-in day. University Housing staff will need to verify all students have moved into their correct assigned residential space. More information about room changes will come out in mid-to-late September.
