Transit Friendly Destination: NKU has been given a Diamond Level rating as a Transit Friendly Destination by Green Umbrella, a regional sustainability alliance for the Cincinnati Metropolitan Area. NKU received the award by integrating transit into university culture.
Tree Campus USA: NKU has received the Tree Campus USA- Arbor Day Foundation award every year since 2008. We take great pride in planting trees to beautify our campus, accentuate our landscaping, and contribute to the regrowth of the area's tree canopy.
